FAQs on Mind & Body Performance
How is coMra different from the red-light recovery panels in gyms?
A red-light panel delivers one modality; coMra delivers four into the same volume of tissue at the same moment – a low-level 905 or 980 nm infrared laser, a static magnetic field, ultrasound, and red, indigo-violet and yellow-green LEDs delivered in a set sequence. The combination is not additive: infrared laser, red LED and magnetic field applied together changed the activity of the mitochondria – the cell's power plants – by 22%, while applied separately they produced no detectable change at all, and light alone had to be ten times stronger to come close. That synergy is why coMra works at intensities low enough for daily home use, and why a single radiance on its own does not deliver a quarter of the coMra effect. For recovery the LED order matters too: the rejuvenation sequence – red, then yellow-green, then indigo-violet – is the one used for enhancing healthy tissue after exercise, and on the coMra Pro it is selected with the Vitality function.
Can older adults use coMra to stay active?
Yes – Universal 6 (Vitality) names maintenance and support for the ageing body among its indications, next to general well-being, fitness programmes and long-term preventive care. It runs as a 12-day course: one part daily, a second part every other day, then two weeks' rest, repeated every six months or as often as wanted. The 980 nm laser of the coMra Pro 980 and Palm 2 is the wavelength for this use – it delivers energy more gradually and is safe for home use at any age. Age does not limit coMra; it sets the pacing.
Does coMra support strength training and muscle building?
Yes – muscle conditioning is its own routine, applied one to two times daily to the muscle group actually trained, every point one minute at 50 Hz. It is split into three parts so only the relevant one is run: chest, shoulder and triceps (16 minutes); back and biceps (14 minutes); legs (26 minutes). The training plans rotate the parts by training day – legs on long-run and rest days, upper body on the corresponding weight days. The same routine is also used ad hoc before a competitive event.
Can coMra help with knee and joint strain from running?
Yes, and joints have their own frequency setting – the variable frequency, which cycles through 5, 50 and 1000 Hz so one area is treated at several depths. The knee routine covers the lateral projections, the zones above and below the patella and the popliteal fossa: 15 minutes, once daily for 15 days, then three weeks' rest before repeating. Where there is osteoarthritis in the knee, Universal 3 (Blood) is applied alongside it. For ordinary training load rather than a damaged joint, what runners use after long runs is the recovery routine with its leg add-on – five points along each leg at 50 Hz.
Can athletes use coMra every day?
Yes – daily use is the intended pattern for training support. Preparation runs once daily, recovery one to three times daily, muscle conditioning once or twice daily on the region trained; through an intense training period four to five sessions of roughly 20–30 minutes can stack in a single day. There is no overdose risk, because the synergetic design keeps each radiance inside a broad safe window, but the precautions still hold: 5–10 minutes rest after any head or heart session, and 5 Hz only in the heart area. The Universal protocols work differently – they are courses with defined rest periods rather than open-ended daily use.
