General Introduction

The 2014 H1N1 influenza epidemic in Greece had the following common course of the disease:

After a day or two of incubation period following the virus infection, the following three stages are generally observed:

  1. At first there is heavy infection in the area of the larynx and the tonsils, coupled with severe exhaustion. The latter continues during the entire disease.
  2. Then the disease "moves" both:
    • "upwards" resulting in a severe attack of sinusitis, and
    • "downwards" resulting in severe attack of bronchitis.
At the same time a high fever appears, rising temperatures to 39 or 40°C. The fever is persistent and it does not respond to aspirin or any other anti-fever drugs. In some cases where the organisms are "weaker", at this point the lungs gather fluids and pneumonia is also common.
  3. The symptoms "spread" more "downwards", attacking the intestines and resulting in severe diarrhea. By that time, the body is already weak, therefore the loss of fluids due to the diarrhea may make the patient's condition critical and/or require hospitalisation, if the patient was not already hospitalised during stage 2.

The Disease

At the beginning of February Sotirios was warned that he might have been infected and after a couple of days he started experiencing the symptoms o Stage 1: sore throat and utter exhaustion.

coMra Treatments

Sotirios treated himself only by his coMra Pro 905 Medical, no medications of any kind. He performed the following:

  • Universal 3, daily for 12 days.
  • Otorhinolaryncology 7, twice daily for 7 days.
  • Pulmonology 1, daily for 8 days.
  • Medical Terminal at 5 Hz for 2 minutes at each of the projections of the tonsils on the outside of the throat; twice daily for the first 3 days.

Results

  • 8 days after the appearance of the first symptoms, Sotirios was completely symptom-free.
  • Stage 1 lasted for the first 3 days.
  • By days 4 and 5 the soreness of the throat disappeared, but Sotirios experienced a heavy attack of sinusitis which also cleared at day 5.
  • After day 5 the energy deficiency was only very slight.
  • There was neither fever nor any symptoms pertaining to Stages 2 and 3.

Obviously, Sotirios went through the disease much easier than was the average case.
