In this demonstration, we focus on a foundational set of acupuncture points designed to boost the immune system, establish homeostasis, and trigger a robust healing response. My background spans general practice, traditional Chinese medicine, and integrative medicine. It was within the field of integrative medicine that I discovered coMra therapy, which has enabled me to utilize a highly effective, compact laser for a wide range of procedures and treatments.
I specifically apply coMra therapy within the framework of Chinese medicine, using the device to stimulate acupuncture points. While I often use traditional needles for adult patients, many individuals experience needle phobia. For these patients, as well as for children, laser acupuncture is an ideal solution. Children typically fear needles and invasive procedures; they are often intrigued by the lights of the coMra device, and the fact that it provides a completely painless treatment is a significant advantage. From a practitioner’s perspective, it is important to avoid creating fear or unnecessary invasion during a consultation.
The beauty of coMra therapy lies in its multi-modal design. It does not rely on laser alone; it integrates low-level laser, LED colour light, ultrasound, and magnetic fields. Each of these modalities contributes to stimulating the body’s innate healing response. The human body possesses an incredible capacity to heal itself; our role as practitioners is simply to initiate that response.
While there are numerous acupuncture points one can target to restore specific bodily functions, the protocol demonstrated here provides the best possible value for a general treatment. Furthermore, the efficiency of the process is remarkable. Traditional needle acupuncture can be time-consuming, but with coMra therapy, the treatment is completed in approximately ten minutes.
This specific protocol serves as an excellent immune booster, particularly useful for addressing high temperatures and inflammation. For me, coMra therapy has become an essential part of my clinical practice – it is convenient, effective, and, in my view, a tool that every practitioner should have in their arsenal.
