Case Study: Stroke Treatment with coMra Therapy

Patient Information

  • Age: 68 years old
  • Gender: Female
  • Medical History:
  • Early glaucoma
  • High blood pressure
  • Heart disease
  • Diabetes

Initial Symptoms (5 months post-stroke)

  • Headaches
  • Loss of visual field (left side)

Treatment Protocol

  • 12 treatments, once per week, in-office
  • Duration: 5 minutes each
  • Device: coMra Delta (assumed)
  • Settings: 50 Hz
  • Treatment areas:
  1. Scanning both sides of the head
  2. Site of stroke (right side of brain)
  • Adapted from Neurology 3 protocol (User Guide pages 214-215)

Rationale for Treatment

  1. ATP Synthesis:
  • Stroke causes major cellular energy deficit
  • Transcranial laser treatment can restore and increase ATP levels
  1. Neurochemical Messaging:
  • Light therapy supports neural stem cell growth

Results

  • Visual field: Completely restored to normal
  • Headaches: Less frequent and less intense
  • Doctor’s assessment: Substantial improvement
  • Patient’s feedback: Very happy with results

Scientific Background

  • Reference to Lapchak (2010) study on transcranial laser treatment and ATP levels
  • Reference to Anders (2008) study on neural stem cell response to infrared light

This case study demonstrates the potential of coMra therapy in treating stroke-related symptoms, particularly visual field loss and headaches. The treatment protocol, based on the synergistic effects of multiple radiances, showed significant improvements in the patient’s condition over a 12-week period.
