This case study follows a patient named Marina, who suffered from severe postherpetic neuralgia following a shingles outbreak. The condition caused excruciating pain down her right leg, leaving her unable to walk and requiring assistance for basic mobility. Despite multiple hospitalizations and various pain medications, she found no relief from conventional treatments.
Seeking an alternative, the patient consulted with a practitioner who implemented a protocol of seven consecutive days of coMra therapy. Using a coMra Delta 980 laser, the treatment was applied to the root of the nerve, along the nerve pathway, and over the area of the rash. It is important to note that the device was used in a scanning motion, hovering slightly above the skin to avoid aggravating the sensitive area.
It is essential to understand that coMra therapy does not act as a medication to eliminate the virus directly. Instead, it functions by enhancing the body's natural nerve self-repair processes. By boosting these biological reserves, the nervous system can resolve the damage caused by the viral outbreak. Unlike pain medications that merely mask symptoms, this approach focuses on functional improvement through cellular regeneration. Following the seven-day treatment protocol, the patient experienced significant relief after only two sessions and achieved a complete recovery, with no relapse reported in a two-year follow-up.
